Hi, I’m Tim.
Several years ago, I used social networks LinkedIn and Twitter to help grow my freelance writing/editing business.
In 2013, I met my good friend Rachel Gelderman, co-owner of Gaining Math Momentum, to improve . Check it out – she has the most fun posts!. When we were done with our session, she suggested I help other businesses in the region with their social media.
Almost four years later, and after helping more than 100 businesses and nonprofits through social media consulting, trainings, classes and management, Sohn Social Media Solutions continues its mission:

Because social media is a cost-effective way to get new customers and increase sales, boost membership in your organization, improve customer service, connect with other professionals in your industry, find a new job, and much more.
I have also interviewed social media executives from publishers (such as The New York Times) and businesses (such as Dunkin’ Donuts and Weight Watchers – ironic, eh?) about how they use social media to meet their goals.
Before launching Sohn Social Media Solutions, I worked for websites, newspapers and magazines for more than a decade as reporter, copy editor, copy desk chief, managing editor and editor. There, I learned the fine art of balancing accuracy and meeting (or better yet, exceeding) deadlines.
On a lighter note, I have the most generous wife and two growing girls – 4 and 7. I also love Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffee light and sweet.
